An award-winning Cost & Project Management Consultancy are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to deliver a major Smart Motorway NEC3/4 project on behalf of Highways England
The Senior Quantity Surveyor Role:
* Estimating and Cost Plans
* Cost and budget management
* Payment & expenditure management
* Contract administration
* General commercial guidance and support as required
* Assist the P&C Manager and Project Manager in compiling documentation
* Compiles, negotiate and award Call Off Contracts in accordance with terms and provisions of Agreements. Managing the interface with suppliers/contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure value for money and appropriate commercial controls are embedded in all contracts
* Deliver all project(s)/contract(s) within own area of responsibility and approved budget authorisations
* Manage all post contract commercial matters including negotiating/agreeing compensation events and ensure that the core principles of the Commercial Manual are being implemented
Requirements:
* Senior QS with sound experience in PRISM system within Highways England
* RICS accredited Quantity Surveying degree
* Significant technical knowledge relating to Highways / Infrastructure – at least 10 years'
* Significant consulting experience – at least 5-10 years in industry (post-graduate)
* Preferably chartered and appropriate professional qualifications related to their discipline of work
* Experience of participating in high profile, major, complex projects on a day-to-day basis, responsible for delivering project critical outputs
* Sound public sector knowledge and the issues affecting it
* Ability to provide advice at a senior management level, bringing insight into specific project issues
