Senior Quantity Surveyor – Regional Contractor – Multiple sites underway with further sites due to start across the North West

The Role and Responsibilities
As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be mainly site based reporting to a Commercial Manager or Commercial Director. Your duties will include procurement, management and payment of sub-contractors, variations, interim payments, client management, compiling monthly CVR's, and final accounts as well as general contract administration. You must be able to work independently, under pressure and to strict deadlines and ideally have experience working on pre-construction.
Being mainly a site based role, you will need to take responsibility for the successful management and control of all aspects of the commercial and financial elements of projects, maximising profitability and protecting the company's legal and contractual obligations whilst proactively controlling all commercial issues. The experience to mentor junior members of the team is essential.
Skills and Experience
Degree in Quantity Surveying or HNC/HND in Construction
Come from a stable background, ideally main contracting
Computer literate with excellent oral and written communication skills
With the majority of schemes being JCT D&B, an understanding of NEC would also be of benefit.
Ideally hold a current CSCS card although not essential
The ability to travel as and when required is essential.
