Senior Cost Engineer

Job Overview

Manufacturing UK is an integral part of the Operations Directorate whose principal mission is to ensure that MBDA’s hardware deliverable commitments are met in terms of time, cost and quality.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced cost engineer to join a small team in providing production cost forecasts for manufacturing and the necessary support activities from concept through development and industrialisation to aid a project team in bidding or in determining the price of product or service.

What we’re looking for

Educated to HNC/HND standard or equivalent
A strong background in engineering/manufacturing is essential.  
Experience of estimating/cost engineering is desirable.
Relevant production life cycle experience is highly desirable.
A sound appreciation of manufacturing processes is important.
Able to communicate with all levels within the business both verbally and in writing.
Good level of influencing, negotiating and persuasiveness with the ability to adapt style in different situations.
Skilled in managing deadlines with the ability to multi-task and prioritise own work and work of others.
Strong analytical skills.
Able to assimilate facts from a range of sources.
Self-motivated with the resilience and tenacity to deliver results through others.
Proficient in the use of MS Office Packages
