We have a unique opportunity to join our Estates team as the Projects Manager at one of our flagship Healthcare sites, the Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI), which consists of over 80 building all with unique and multifaceted needs. Reporting into the Head of Estates you’ll work collaboratively with the leadership team and be responsible for the effective and efficient management, planning, works control, performance measurement & management and administering of all works which fall into the diverse Projects environment.

This is a dynamic role within the Estates team which focuses on managing a wide range of projects and rechargeable value works; building and further developing a work stream to maximum potential revenues for Sodexo. You’ll take the lead role on how we evaluate Healthcare Estate project works and how Projects works are managed into the Sodexo Maintenance Service Delivery Model.

To be successful in this role you’ll be confident working within a highly KPI managed environment with multiple client, contractor and internal partners. You’ll be well articulated, able to influence decisions and drive projects forward using data and insight form dashboards and reporting tools. You’ll establish yourself as a collaborate leader able to play a key role in identifying opportunities for innovation and modernisation.

Main Responsibilities
Management of Sodexo, client and customer expectations regarding Projects activities. Assess and advise the Head of Estates how Sodexo can enhance the current inefficient and risk loaded methods of non-Sodexo entities Project Management activities.
Service Delivery of the Project works stream team in a profitable and quality of work manner with continuous development of the Projects Department operating procedures, internal governance, risk assessments & method statements (RAMS) and workflow diagrams aligned to ISO and Statutory Healthcare Standards. Lead in handover of Projects reviews with non-Sodexo entities.
On the acceptance of Test and Commissioning handover of Projects, professionally assure the O&M detail and future maintenance requirements are collected and commissioned onto the Sodexo Global Maximo system.
Enhance the current Sodexo Estates process of handling, executing and completing Small Works and Variation projects & AP/CP rechargeable services in a timely manner. Ensure as paramount compliance with all existing and all statutory regulations and HTM’s.
Work closely with the Sodexo Estates Energy Manager to achieve contractual obligations and identifying Energy risks and opportunities.
Management of the Estates Technical Library, with an inherent need to work closely with the Estates Compliance Manager and team.
Exchange, interpret, analyse and calculate complex information and communicate to specialists and non-specialists Use data and information in complex forms to dashboard, bench mark, fault find, predict and analyse future maintenance requirements.
Develop long term strategic Estates Projects plans to implement organisational objectives for critical services

The Ideal Candidate
Engineering qualification (degree, apprenticeship) or equivalent relevant experience
Knowledge and understanding of Project Management methodologies and the ability to apply them to projects successfully to deliver within budget and timeframes
Exceptional communication, stakeholder, client and contractor management skills with the ability to articulate clearly and influence decisions
Ability to work commercially and build good working relationships and an understanding of client needs to unlock revenue opportunities for Sodexo
Ability to manage and navigate a complex customer and stakeholder relationships within a PFI environment which is highly performance and KPI led
Brilliant leadership and people management skills, with the ability to unlock high potential and ensure collaborative working to mutual goals
