THE PROCESSSING & BLENDING MANAGER ROLE:
The Processing & Blending Manager will ensure all activities within the function are carried out in accordance with the required quality specifications, utilising the most efficient and cost-effective methods. The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing operational strategic objectives by the identification, assessment and recommendations of continuous improvements in the Process and Blending area. Other key responsibilities will include:
To blend, store and process finish liquids in accordance with recipe and specification requirements
To ensure product is of the highest possible quality standards (including gas management) and complies with all Customs & Excise trading standards requirements and meets the needs of the customers' expectations
To analyse in-process products both chemically and organoleptically
Responsible for calculating bulk additions to products and blends
To ensure the minimisation of both material and liquid waste in line with budgeted targets
To ensure all documentation and record systems are maintained to high standards daily in accordance with ISO 9001:2015
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Five years Blending Management experience within a food manufacturing process environment
Experience of modern manufacturing techniques and the implementation of systems and procedures for improved performance
Qualified in Management to ILM Level 3 or equivalent
Excellent IT skills including hands on understanding of SAP would be an advantage
Proven track record of Team working and continuous improvement objectives
Degree qualified, preferably in a science discipline
