We are looking for a Partnerships Manager to work for a major Manchester based Charity & Live Events company.

Job Role

We are looking for a confident, highly driven and experienced Partnerships Manager who fully understands the nature of our work and wants to join a passionate, dynamic team on

our journey to sustain the performance of a successful charity.

Working closely with the senior management team the Commercial Development Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the commercial strategy for the organisation incorporating

sponsorship and commercial revenue income streams for each of our events and initiatives.

The role is based at our City Centre office, with elements of home working and will require some national and international travel.

Specific Responsibilities

Identify and develop new commercial opportunities

Manage and develop new and existing relationships with all commercial partners

Work alongside the events, engagement and marketing teams to maximise commercial development potential

Develop and maintain processes to achieve personal targets

Implement campaign activity, promotions and activations to support a growing event and initiative portfolio

Prepare detailed proposals and evaluation documents on all campaign activity

Prepare and present monthly commercial reports to the CEO

The successful candidate will be expected to perform all such additional duties as are reasonably commensurate with the role.


The successful candidate will have commercial sales experience, preferably in the field of events or commercial sponsorship.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications


A minimum of two years experience in a similar business development role

Demonstrable success of achieving commercial growth and hitting targets

First class relationship management skills

Ability to prioritise goals and deliver against deadlines

Capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Strong active listening skills

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent written communication skills for producing high quality proposals

Creative skills for contributing to new and innovative commercial opportunities

Highly organised with a positive and proactive approach to work

Excellent reporting and presentation skills

Excellent time management

Proficient in IT with comprehensive knowledge of existing and emerging social media platforms

Understanding of the core aims and objectives of the charity

Full UK Driving licence

Flexibility and commitment


Educated to degree level or similar

Knowledge and experience of working within the events / entertainment sectors

Understanding of commercial partnerships and co-promotional activations
