This is an opportunity to join a true market leading business as a multi skilled maintenance engineer you will be expected to work a continental shift pattern which consists of 4 nights on 4 off (6pm – 6am)
  
Your New Job
  
As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Shift Engineer you’ll be working as of part of the Maintenance Team and will be tasked with carry out planned routine and reactive maintenance repair work on all plant and equipment at the site and completing written reports on maintenance work carried out and identify future work. Plan and implement improvement ideas to increase the throughput and efficiency of the operating plants. To ensure the best possible resolve is achieved to those issues experienced, in order to meet the reliability requirements of the site’s production schedules. To be a part of a team providing essential maintenance operations on a very simple process. Overseeing and undertaking accurate and efficient changeovers. Providing on the job training to members of the production team. Ensuring continuous improvement of machinery performance through the accurate recording/reviewing of the main downtime causes and solutions, and the implementation of engineering improvements. Ensuring effective shift handovers by liaising with other production technicians. Ensuring the effective and safe operation of all machinery and reporting all failures to the Engineering Shift Manager. Liaising closely with the other members of the engineering department to ensure maximum performance of the production machinery. Adopting a flexible approach within a fast moving environment by recommending and supporting improvement initiatives to improve line and individual performance. Fully co-operating with the ongoing requirement for personal/team training and development to achieve the main job purpose. Ensuring all documentation and record systems are maintained to high standards on a daily basis in accordance with ISO 9001:2000.

Your Experience and Requirements
  
ZAP are searching for candidates with a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role in manufacturing. Candidates must have mechanical and electrical experience within an FMCG environment. For this role Siemens PLC knowledge is ESSENTIAL.
