A key client of ours is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join its growing team. This is a well-regarded precision manufacturing business that has offers sociable working hours, a competitive salary and an opportunity to work within its modern-day engineering facility.
Reporting directly to Manufacturing Management, the successful professional will be on site to coordinate all manufacturing and assembly process improvements, together with lean CI activities on a daily basis. Whether you're a CI/Manufacturing Engineer professional with 3, or 30 years of experience, if you're able to help deliver manufacturing excellence then we'd like to hear from you.
Manufacturing Engineer main duties –
Drive the best practice of lean techniques on the shop-floor – 5S, waste elimination, standard work, material flow, changeover reduction, plant layout optimisation and mistake proofing.
Review processes on site and implement improvements across the production area.
Ensure that plant equipment is aligned to the required specification, is safe to use, and meets the plant layout and the production schedules agreed.
Manage any SAP requirements, Bills of material accuracy, MTM, Engineering Changes and improvements to support any SOPs.
Support production material flow – Kanban systems, Plan for Every Part etc.
Provide staff training on new systems as and when required.Desirable skills/experience/attributes –
Experience within a similar position (3+ years)
Ideally Automotive, Yellow Goods, or Industrial sector experience.
Able to use tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Process Flow, Visual Management.
Able to build rapport with employees and help drive a CI culture.
Fully conversant with MS Office and documenting changes.Manufacturing Engineer Benefits include –
