Lead Buyer – Facilities Management Services
Ideally North West based (offices in Manchester) but with excellent flexible working policy.
Salary to £50k plus car allowance and discretionary bonus

The employer, operating in the built environment sector is an independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, provides energy, safety and environmentally focused solutions across multi-technical and support services from initial design, through installation, testing, commissioning to long term maintenance and facilities management.

This is a great opportunity for a Procurement professional to lead on strategic procurement for the Facilities Management division of the organisation, driving and continuously achieving value from associated supply chains across cost, service and CSR.

While managing one north west based Buyer, you will develop and implement strategic procurement plans nationally across all areas of the FM supply chain in the delivery of both soft services and hard (M&E) services in all supplied materials, goods, subcontractor services and other services to achieve cost and quality objectives.

You will be working to support the delivery of group wide procurement initiatives while achieving divisional value through supplier relationship and performance management, negotiating service levels, rebates and discounts while sourcing for new sources of supply where appropriate. This role will give you site of the divisional supply chain with full scope to rationalise the supply base to achieve best value while working with divisional operational and financial senior management teams.

To be successful in this role you will need:

Proven experience of strategic procurement in a Facilities Management environment.
Good understanding of strategic category planning and execution.
An ability to interrogate and utilise data, identifying opportunities for supply improvement / cost benefit.
Ideally qualified to degree level
MCIPS qualified or working towards is highly desirable.
