This role will suit candidates who have been a field / I&C technician and looking to progress into a more office, managerial role. Previous experience in a managerial/supervisory role would be advantageous as you will be expected to make decisions and guide fellow colleagues with technical issues etc. You should possess excellent customer facing skills, and work well under pressure, demonstrating a professional manner, with an ability to identify and focus on customer needs.

Overview of Role:

Planning and implementation of a project. In collaboration with the management of the team. To assist in achieving the project goals.

This is a hybrid type role with a view to being 50/50 split initially as project engineering and I&C field technician. Carrying out installation and commissioning of radio and antenna systems for large multi-site integrated solutions. Ideally you will be a qualified electrician or Instrument Technician with a with strong technical background, with previous experience working in a similar role. Such as telecommunication or satellite-based installation roles would be suitable.

Responsibilities:

* Assisting with the administration and organisation of the project

* Financial management of projects, including invoicing and reporting.

* Specification and ordering of materials.

* Management and briefing of installation personnel.

* Resolving installation and access issues.

* Completion and submission of as-installed documentation

* Installation, commissioning, validation & servicing of all electrical, radio, telemetry, microwave equipment as part of our solutions at our customer’s site.

* Ensure that the Health & Safety, environmental & quality procedures are followed & adequate records maintained.

* Maintain due regard to safety for all commissioning related site activities whilst recognising and applying company specific safety rules.

* Performing industry standard testing as required on telecoms and antenna systems.

* Performing industry standard testing as required on telecoms and antenna systems.

* Completion of site surveys.

Skills and Experience Required:

* Electrical qualified C&G, 17th or 18th edition qualified.

* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in installation of instrumentation and electrical products.

* Knowledge of electrical and electronic devices, such as circuits, switches, breakers, wiring, and of safety precautions and hazards related to electricity.

* Experience with wireless technologies and the radio spectrum would be of benefit.

* Knowledge of radio and antenna systems with the ability to install and test appropriately.

* 1 year’s min experience of management or supervisory work, within a similar sector

* Full clean drivers’ licence.
