Installation Engineer

Job Overview

We are a leading engineering company specialising in the design, development and manufacture of medical equipment. Due to increased workflow and continued growth we have several exciting opportunities for Installation Engineer to join a cutting-edge and market-leading provider of medical automation solutions to hospitals and pharmacies.

This customer facing role involves working on customer sites Monday-Friday across the UK and Ireland with occasional travel to other areas of Europe (all travel and accommodation is fully expensed). You will work as part of a small installation team reporting to the team leader. This role will involve delivery, set out, installation and initial testing of robotic solutions.

3-month product training will be provided before you join the field team – The role is completely customer site based UK wide therefore you must be prepared to work away from home Mon-Fri. The role comes with a company credit card to manage all expenses (travel, accommodation, food) and if required a fully expensed pool vehicle will be provided – There is paid overtime on offer and an installation “on time” completion bonus + excellent benefits package).

Main responsibilities will include:

* Safe offloading, receipt and delivery of parts to installation location

* Raise part shortages to the Project Manager and advise of part number and aid expediting and installation of shortage item.

* Short commissioning sign off

* Completing own administration

* Act in a professional manner at all times, promoting company’s ethics and values.

About you

The successful candidate will have an electrical background with strong assembly skills. You will be able to read and understand engineering drawings in order to assemble high value products. You will have a proven mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools. You will also be able to work at height.

You will be a strong communicator with excellent customer service. You will have attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. You will be flexible in your demeanour to work to deliver solutions to our customers. You will also have a driver’s license
