Our client is the UK’s first tenant and employee co-owned mutual housing society, with over 12,000 homes throughout the local area.
They have a fantastic opportunity for a Governance Coordinator to provide high-level administrative support to our Governing Bodies, including their Board and their Representative Body of elected tenant and employee Representatives. You will deliver a range of activities, providing a secretariat service and planning, coordinating events and facilitation of meetings.
This role will provide efficient support to the Governing Bodies to ensure they can fulfil their roles that deliver the aims, objectives and intended outcomes for their tenants, employees, and Members in an effective, transparent and accountable manner.
The role is full time (36 ¼ hours per week) in accordance with smart working and service requirements. Work may be home, office and field-based – flexibility is required. The post holder is expected to attend meetings in the evenings, along with occasional weekend work. You will work with their friendly and supportive Governance Team to prioritise competing demands and juggle busy diaries and workloads.
With experience in a similar Governance role, you will have solid experience of Microsoft Office Packages including Office 365 with the ability to produce documents to a professional standard. Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to forward plan, balance priorities and co-ordinate events, are key to the role, and you will work with consistency, integrity, accountability, and professionalism at all times.
