Field Service Engineer – Midlands & North West England

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team within a leading, international Life Sciences Company as Field Service Engineer. You will work from home and cover the Midlands and North West of England territory.

This field based role involves travelling to customer sites within the region, but may occasionally involve visits in other territories as required. Reporting daily by telephone to the Service Manager.

Responsibilities include installation, commissioning, repair and servicing of our whole product range, ensuring compliance with various standard and producing service reports and other documentation to a high standard of accuracy. Additionally, it may be necessary, from time to time, to work at head office in Horsham, where you will carry out such duties as workshop repairs and equipment refurbishments. There will be a requirement to attend training courses, which may be conducted overseas.

This role involves travel by car visiting customer on a daily basis with occasional overnight stays as required. A company estate car will be provided to carry the large amount of spare parts and tools required. A mobile phone and Ipad will also be supplied.

The ideal candidate will have good electro-mechanical and IT skills and field service experience preferably in the medical device industry or are looking to move into this sector. Some experience of networking would be an advantage but not required. Operating remotely from the Head Office, you will be self-motivated and have excellent administration and communication skills.

Previous Field Service Engineer experience in electromechanical / computer controlled systems would be an advantage. An ability to 'think on your feet' is essential, with a can do attitude and a determination to get equipment working to manufacturers specifications.

A full and clean driving license is essential.
