About the role

Nexperia has an exciting opportunity for an Equipment Operations Engineer to join our team.

As Equipment Operations Engineer, you will carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance, repair, and optimisation activities on all equipment used in the product characterisation laboratories.

What you will do

* Maintain and repair various testers used in the product measurement and reliability laboratories as well as in the surface mounted device (SMD) area

* Ensure all equipment is in good working order and meets safety requirements

* Participate in regular R&R studies, calibrations, and related activities supporting equipment robustness

* Maintain up to date equipment and laboratory documentation (lab scopes, manuals, etc.)

* Perform investigations leading to equipment improvements and support CAPEX activities

* Support release of equipment either developed inhouse or obtained through external purchase and ensure it is functioning in line with international and/or company standards

What you will need

* HND/HNC qualification or Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience. Other engineering subjects (e.g. mechatronics) also considered

* Highly motivated team player with excellent communication and organisational skills and a focus on continuous improvement

* Experience in using and maintaining product characterisation equipment, specifically oscilloscopes, power supplies, ATE, and environment testers

* Understanding of electronic product design, ideally semiconductor devices, and their construction, manufacturing process, test methods, and failure modes

* Proficiency in programming languages (C/C++, LabView)

* Experience in analogue, digital, circuit design (preferred)
