Excellent immediate full-time opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established company based in Manchester!

Role

The company is now looking for an experienced Industrial Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a foundry / machine shop environment to work a 38-hour 4 shift work pattern (rotating) of 5 Days (07.30am to 3.30pm) 5 mornings (6am to 2pm) 5 afternoons (2pm to 10pm) and 4 nights (Mon-Thur 10pm to 6am)

The 4-man team will rotate on the above shift pattern also covering each other for holidays / sickness when required where it will then revert to the 3 shifts 24hr cover (exclude the days) whilst down to a 3-man team.

The Site

Based in Swinton, Manchester the factory is predominantly a Foundry / Extrusions and Machining site specialising in the production of specialised alloys using Gas Fired Melting Furnaces and Billet / Ingot Casting Machines but also has a number of Machine Shops with Lathes and Milling Machines etc., Extrusion Press departments with Billet Handling equipment, Conveyors, Saws, Heat Treatment Ovens as well as lifting equipment /overhead cranes and also some Specialised Testing Laboratories.

The Candidate

Candidates to be suitably experienced having been formally trained and qualified in Electrical Engineering together with 17th /18th Edition (industrial) IEE Regs knowledge. Must also be able to work well within a maintenance team environment but equally must be able to work un-supervised and alone using their own initiative.

Job Requirements (it is understood that all these might not be possible)

* Hands on maintenance fitter electrically (biased) but with substantial mechanical experience

* Fault finding ability (breakdown situations)

* PLC experience would be an advantage (Allen Bradley / Siemens)

* Hydraulics / Pneumatics experience would be useful

* Overhead crane maintenance experience important (up to 10 tonne)

* Knowledge of Instrumentation and temperature control of gas fired furnaces

* Knowledge of natural gas burner systems

* Small panel building experience would be useful

* Some general mechanical experience would also be important

* IPAF and FLT licences are important (training can be done)

In return the company offers an immediate permanent opportunity for the right candidate at a competitive package Circa £35,000 per annum. To include 20 days holiday per annum and contributary pension scheme after probationary period
