DevOps Engineer, Remote, WFH, to £70k
A DevOps Engineer with experience working with Linux is required to join a leading R&D company in Oxford, working closely with a team of Python Developers to deploy Python applications in a CI, Linux, AWS environment. This is a great role for a DevOps Engineer who enjoys working in a fast moving, collaborative environment!
The Role
In this role, the DevOps Engineer will working on a wide range of projects, including looking after the company’s GitLab Continuous Integration system, Jupyter Notebook system, as well as maintaining the AWS cloud infrastructure. As the DevOps Engineer you will be working closely with the development team day-to-day, so an understanding of software engineering would be really beneficial!

What’s Required?
For this DevOps Engineer role, the main things we’re looking for are:
Previous experience as a DevOps Engineer or Linux Systems Engineer within a production environment
An understanding of code from a troubleshooting perspective – ideally Python, Ruby or Perl
Ideally, you will also have a mix of some of the below:
Cloud experience, ideally with AWS though this isn’t essential
Kubernetes or Docker
Terraform
ELK stack for monitoring
Databases – MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
