Salary Range : £38,000 to £41,000 salaried

Contracts Manager required for a growing specialist sheet metal fabricator to cover the UK & Ireland geographies. The individual will be required to manage a range of existing, dormant and new accounts and initial enquiries for specialist stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminium fabrications in food, pharma, medical imaging, packaging and architectural industries.
Produce cost estimates, material costings and quotations for submission to the customer against engineering drawings & CAD models.
Liaise with production and customers to ensure timely delivery in full to customer agreed delivery dates.
Liaise with internal purchasing raw material and subcontract providers to support on time delivery.
Periodically visit customer sites throughout the UK and Ireland to respond to direct enquiries and/or prospect target customers in relevant market sectors supporting the external sales team.
Update sales plans and forecasts with up to date and realistic information regarding prospects and opportunities status.
Prepare, draft and submit quotations where required for specific product sale categories in sheet metal fabrications using stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminium and other exotic alloys.
Liaise and interact with customers during various stages of the sales opportunity life cycle including where appropriate negotiation of scope and commercial points.
(preferable) Formal engineering qualification in mechanical, fabrication or related disciplines including ideally an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent.
Successful prior experience in a commercial role involving cost estimating (ideally for specialist engineered sheet metal products into high value capital equipment in relevant market sectors)
Confident & articulate manner able to interact easily with customers and give confidence of technical proficiency in the role and also on behalf of the Company.
Good presentation skills either formally or via hands on explanations of the product range.
Ability to successfully interact will colleagues in the Company supporting the sales process including Finance, Engineering & Production.
Proven ability to manage the sales process from enquiry to closing.
Motivated self-starter with good personal management habits to balance prospecting, cold calling, quotations, enquiries and technical support for new, existing or dormant customers across the group product lines.
Ability to travel occasionally throughout the UK and Ireland with the potential for periodic travel to International sites by prior mutual agreement.
IT Literate in Microsoft Office packages, email and related job specific software packages.
